Some interesting statistics concerning a cult that claims to have growing following in the world and hopes to convert the whole world one day to their ideology thereby bring peace.
Yes, this cult is popularly advertised as Bahai Faith.
So while the Bahai Faith claims at huge success in bringing mankind to their fold, the reality is different. In a recent confidential survey done by the Bahai Faith, following trend was seen:
The US Annual Report for 2022, page 19, states that the NSA Stat office generates the community stats, while the rest of the annual report (Regional and local areas) gets its data from the SRP.
The US Bahai numbers are dropping at the rate of 300 Bahais per year.
So, at this rate after twenty years they can be counted by hand.
Another point to be noted is that bad addresses are on rise. Does it mean many of those so-called members of the faith are bogus entries?
Few other conclusions can be derived from below trend:
In a massive country like USA, adult new believers are presently 400 in 2022 down from 550 a couple of years ago. So the mathematics is simple, 400 new believers less 500 bad addresses means a further negative trend of 100. So possible decline could be as high as 400 per year.
Time has come for the Universal House of Justice to accept the reality and stop parroting that Bahai Faith is the fastest growing Faith. Rather it can be called as the fastest vanishing man-made Faith.
Us Baha'i Population from other sources : See Below
Even if we take the full number of 177,654 (including all the people who didn't want to go through the headache of resigning and getting bombarded with "consultation" requests) the numbers are not pretty.
According to my calculations (which may be completely wrong) 845 new Baha'is represents a population increase of 0.47%. The percentage growth rate of the total United States population is about 0.6% to 1.0% which means even if we take the 'massaged' statistics at face value the Baha'i Faith is losing ground, growing slower than the general population means it is quantitatively becoming more obscure and less relevant than it already is.
